Shipbuilding Supervisor / Inspector
Report to FBMS Managing Director

Provide Supervision to :
All craftsmen required in the construction of FBMS vessels;
Security, materials management, project procurement, and project administration personnel.

Skills and Qualifications Required :
Male, has minimum 10 years of progressively responsible vessel development and commissioning experience.
Proficiency in English both oral & written and computer literacy.
Computer literate with the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project Manager, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team based environment within a heavily matrix organization.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
D3/S1 Shipbuilding - Naval Architect, especially in Aluminium Boat.
Ship Class & Certification knowledge.
Familiar with hull construction, surface preparation, electrical automation installation, piping and outfitting.
Responsible to plan all related works prior to commencement of construction and acts as the company's quality inspector and the official contact between the shipbuilder, project organization and the vessel owner.
Requires sound financial budget management skills,
Working understanding of scheduling principles,
Ability to motivate and lead a workforce in achieving stated schedules, and the adherence to safe working practices.
The position demands technical construction and inspection skills. Success is based upon effective communications with members of management, the workforce, government inspectors, and suppliers within the industry.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage the financial budgets for each vessel under construction. Prepare and submit budget status reports and forecasted finance requirements on bi-weekly basis to the Managing Director.
Provide direct supervision of all craftsmen for the construction of FBMS crew boats.
This includes ensuring sufficient numbers of workmen being present continuously on each vessel to achieve established construction schedules and inspection for quality.
Prepare a detailed project construction schedule for each vessel which identifies: Tasks to be performed, number of workmen required to perform each task, amount of time required to perform each task, sequence of tasks, and key inspections to be conducted.
Prepare a construction progress report for each individual vessel and submit to the Managing Director on a weekly basis. The report format is provided by the FBMS Head Office.
Enforce all company QHSE policies and procedures continuously. Complete all required QHSE required reports and submit to the Jakarta QHSE Department.
Supervise and account for all materials, tools, equipment and supplies purchased for the construction of the vessels. Submission of bi-weekly inventory status reports.
Provide technical/inspection support during construction of vessels and then their maintenance upon commissioning.
Resolve all workforce problems involving technical competence, attendance, discipline and security.
Establish and maintain accurate project details by using the computer program titled: Microsoft Project Manager.
